Alphabet's Google deepened its Southeast Asian footprint through a strategic partnership with Sea Ltd., targeting AI-driven transformations across e-commerce, gaming, and payments. The collaboration aims to accelerate Sea's Shopee, Garena, and Monee platforms with Google's AI infrastructure, sharpening competitiveness against rivals like Alibaba-backed Lazada.

Shopee will pilot agentic shopping tools to streamline discovery-to-checkout flows, while Garena taps Google's AI to optimize game development cycles. Monee integrates Google's Agent Payments Protocol for smarter transactions. The alliance comes as Southeast Asia's digital economy surges, with Sea positioning itself for AI-powered scalability.

Alphabet shares edged 0.65% higher to $305.93 following the announcement, reflecting investor Optimism about Google's regional AI monetization strategy.
